Where do I get procmail?

If procmail is installed on your machine you should check the version with procmail -v:
zap[34]:procmail -v
procmail v3.11pre7 1997/04/28 written and created by Stephen R. van den Berg
                                                        <srb@cuci.nl>
As of this writing version 3.11pre7 is the latest version available. Don't let the "pre" scare you away. It's been in use for a long time and is considered quite stable. Make sure you're running at least version 3.10 as there were major syntax changes at 3.10. This tutorial assumes you're running at least 3.10.

Most systems today have procmail available. Increasingly, some systems even use then as their Mail Delivery Agent. More on that later. If you don't have procmail you can get the latest from ftp://uiarchive.uiuc.edu/pub/packages/mail/procmail/

This tutorial does not cover how to set up procmail on a system. RTFM. =)
